Goes to help with my curiosity on these. Can't find this info too easily on the Web. Certainly not all together. Thanks!

Now here is another quest you can help me with to finish this photo spread until the Mark5 comes out Jester Jester

If you happen to get a MKII come across your bench with the Anschutz trigger on it grab a pic for me!! It is like the one for the MKI with the external safety lever on the right side!!

Thanks again
Stuart

so exactly what fits what???

My understanding is that the anschutz triggers fit all the early MK1 receivers as a drop in unit?

The Anschutz units shown are in fact still available, just not from Theoben!

They are expensive but are probably the finest triggers fitted to a sporting air rifle to date!

If anyone is feeling ritch I can supply new anschutz triggers as illustrated??

Well, just as how the photo is layed out. The top line is all MKI triggers that was available. The bottom shows what was fitted to MKII and later models. The only cross over was when the MKII first came out. they had a anshutz trigger fitted. To my understanding, they couldn't supply enough triggers to fill the initial order. So Theoben start to design their own trigger for the Rapids. First came the integrated Sporter trigger. Then the Mark3 and Mark4 units!

thanks stuart,..I think the issue wasn't supply but cost.

the current match anschutz triggers retail (rimfire) at over $400 USD!

The older trigger units are still in production and available, but again are very expensive. It is a case of you get what you pay for.

The later units certainly are not anything near as good and those with the early anschutz triggers are very lucky indeed!

There is a chap here in the UK starting to sell the Anschutz triggers for the Rapid.

£250!

My life, they must be good.

I can't honestly see the point in spending that on a trigger upgrade.

thats me

the stated anschutz trade price is about £250 and thats for the old series triggers.

If you have ever seen or used one then you will know why they are more expensive than the £5 Gamo one!!!!!

I shot an old FT Rapid with a Anschutz SM trigger. Yes it had a great feel and very refined. But the Current Mark4 trigger has the same great feel. Yes it isn't quite as refined, it does have the fully adjustable trigger blade. It does have just as good if not better range of adjustment of trigger pull weight!!
Also Theoben and other gunsmiths can fit it for about £145!

I had AllenZ on our side of the pond convert my early MKII w/sporter trigger to the current Mark4!!
